Mossgrove bakes sourdough for one street in Rotterdam West and was opening a second shop.
We photographed the loaves in the morning light of the old shop, then used the pictures on the bags, the menus and the new shop window, all printed in one dark ink.
Both shops now share one look, and the pictures travel further than the bread.
We shot the bread the way the bakers look at it: close up, crust first.
All photographs were taken on two mornings with window light and a single white card.
